Food Safety Assessment and Training
CRB provided food safety consulting and training for Yamco, a producer of aseptically packaged, all-natural sweet potato, cauliflower, carrot, butternut squash, pumpkin and beet purees.
CRB performed an assessment of the company’s process facility, thermal process schedules and food safety plan and recommended facility and process schedule improvements. CRB also assisted Yamco’s Quality Assurance Department in further development of the company’s food safety plan in support of its FSSC 22000 food safety system certification.
In addition to the food safety consulting, CRB provided Yamco employees with a two-day aseptic awareness training session, which was focused on aseptic processing systems, regulation and record keeping.
Following the project, a CRB subject matter expert remained engaged with Yamco as a thermal process authority.
