Biskup Receives Award for Service from MU College of Engineering

In honor of his distinguished career, Jeff Biskup, President and CEO of CRB, received the Missouri Honor Award for Distinguished Service in Engineering from the University of Missouri College of Engineering in a ceremony March 18, 2016 at Hampton Inn & Suites in Columbia, Missouri. 
The award is given annually on the Friday of the College of Engineering’s Engineers’ Week celebration. Criteria are as follows:

• Exceptional efforts by an individual or an organization to foster the professional development of young engineering college graduates,
• Exceptional ability in the planning and direction of significant and important projects in technical engineering,
• Exceptional contributions by an individual to technical engineering knowledge, and/or
• Exceptional contributions by an individual or an organization to insure and enhance the success of the college and its students

Biskup currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Clark, Richardson & Biskup (CRB) Consulting Engineers Inc., which he co-founded in 1984 after earning his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Missouri in 1979.

CRB, headquartered in Kansas City, has 14 offices spread across the U.S. and Puerto Rico and provides biotech and pharmaceutical companies throughout the world with consulting, design and construction services. Biskup has led CRB in forming partnerships with several renowned companies in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, including Pfizer, Merck and Genentech, among others.

Under Biskup’s leadership, CRB has been a leader in terms of advancing those industries, having helped develop baseline guides for the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE) to stress the importance of consistency and quality in production as well as a wide array of other materials to aid companies involved in pharmaceutical engineering.

Biskup is a professionally registered engineer in 23 different states and Puerto Rico, and he has served on the Board of Directors of ISPE and the Missouri Biotechnology Industry Organization. Biskup also has served with ISPE’s guidance document executive committee, the American Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers and the Association for Facility Engineering.

He received a Food and Drug Administration Commissioner’s Citation in 1999, and he is a former chairman on the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Technical Committee on Pumping and Hydronic Piping and the Committee on Hot Water and Steam Heating Equipment and Chilled Water systems. He also taught the professional development seminar on Water Systems Design and Retrofit for ASHRAE for a decade.
