Due to recent growth, ACell, a leading regenerative medicine company, needed a new training center at its corporate headquarters in Columbia, Maryland.

ACell teamed with Axis Research & Technologies of Irvine, California to co-operate this facility. The training center offers a new local option to facilitate advanced training and education opportunities for the life sciences industry. The training center includes facilities to host on-site, hands-on classroom and lab-based programs, as well as advanced technology to conduct virtual training events on a global scale. The facility was designed to meet the specific learning needs of health-care professionals and is equipped with industry-leading technology for live simulcasting of events anywhere in the world, both on site and remotely.

The 10,000-square-foot training center includes a 100+ person auditorium, multipurpose room suitable for dining or classroom instruction, three teaching labs with cleanable finishes to support cadaver manipulation and a multimedia center to support the live-broadcast internet simulcasting.

CRB’s design and construction teams were selected for this project after the successful completion of an adjacent expansion and renovation project.

ACell is a focused on the development, manufacture and commercialization of medical devices for wound management and surgical soft tissue repair.
