Maya is a LEED Green Associate with 5+ years in the AEC industry as a process engineer and lead. Experienced in managing process design within the biotech industry, she brings a holistic approach to sustainability on our clients’ projects. That starts with facilitating early discussions of sustainable goal setting and execution planning on projects, as Maya believes that sustainability should be a thread that runs through every aspect of every project across design and construction. As an active, accredited Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) General Associate, Maya has helped integrate client goals of LEED building certification into the design and construction processes.

Maya leads CRB’s Sustainable Design and Construction Community of Practice for internal development of sustainability best practices and knowledge sharing. She is also a chair of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) National Capital Region’s Emerging Professionals group, organizing educational and developmental sessions for green building professionals. Maya earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Washington University with a minor in Environmental Engineering, where she also obtained the I-CARES/PARC Certificate in Renewable Energy and the Environment.
