Josh Miksch named to NFPA Technical Committee on Fire Code
Sep 3, 2019
The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has appointed Josh Miksch as a “Special Expert” and Alternate to Reinhard Hanselka on the NFPA Technical Committee on Fire Code.
The NFPA is a global, nonprofit organization that creates and maintains private, copyrighted, standards and codes for usage and adoption by local governments.
Josh will join Reinhard on the NFPA’s fire code technical committee that serves as the principal consensus body responsible for the development and revision of codes and standards intended to minimize the possibility and effects of fire and other hazard management risks. Virtually every building, process, service, design, and installation in our society today is affected by NFPA documents.
According to Paul Skinner, Northeast Region Leader, “All of us at CRB should recognize what great assets we have in Josh’s appointment and Reinhard Hanselka’s on-going contributions to this critical service. Authoring the fire codes for an organization like NFPA is an indication of CRB’s capabilities to help our current and future clients, meet the challenge of designing complex, hazardous facilities in a safe and compliant manner.”
