Apr 16, 2019
Tom Rychlewski and Larry Klein are featured in Food Processing’s “2019 Capital spending outlook: Building bigger.” The annual capital spending survey forecasts a 16.6 percent boost as food + beverage producers pump up the size of their building projects.
Big and fast—that’s the theme for major food + beverage construction projects in 2019. There are a variety of reasons for the increase in facility footprint, including production scale-up, facilities consolidation, flexibility increase and segregation for food safety concerns.
But while projects are growing, schedules are shrinking. Clients wants to know how fast we can bring a product to market. “This urgency for speed to market often shifts the delivery model from a design-bid-build approach to a design-build approach,” Rychlewski explained.
CRB’s ONEsolution™ provides clients with a single source from planning to startup. CRB used a ONEsolution approach for a recent bakery renovation, allowing the client to meet its deadline and double production capacity while maintaining operations throughout the entirety of the project.
