ACell hosts grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony

ACell Inc. hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for its state-of-the-art learning center on July 20, 2018! Members of the ACell board of directors and management team and Axis Research and Technologies staff, as well as representatives from Howard County and the Maryland Department of Commerce, attended this celebration.
ACell teamed with Axis Research and Technologies to co-operate this facility. The learning center offers a new local option to facilitate advanced training and education opportunities for the life sciences industry. The learning center will include facilities to host on-site, hands-on classroom and lab-based programs, as well as advanced technology to conduct virtual training events on a global scale. The facility has been designed to meet the specific learning needs of health-care professionals and equipped for live simulcasting of events anywhere in the world.
“ACell is excited to utilize this cutting-edge facility to advance physician education programs in the wound and surgical arenas, as well as educate its employees from Maryland and around the country,” Bill Hrubes, ACell’s chief compliance officer and head of professional education, said. “By leveraging the technology available at the ACell Learning Center, we can reach exponentially more people with high quality educational programs.”

CRB provided design-build services for this facility and completed the design and construction in eight months. The project came in on time and on budget and was deemed a success by both ACell and Axis.
