About the Speaker:
Mark von Stwolinski is an internationally-recognized expert and industry leader in the design of biopharmaceutical manufacturing facilities. Mark has helped to developed CRB’s FutureFacilitySM concept, which brings together the best in current industry thinking and process closure technologies to create innovative facility design solutions that dramatically reduce capital and operating costs while increasing regulatory compliance. FutureFacilities reduce the building footprint while increasing production capacity, resulting in lower cost of goods. This is a significant facility design paradigm shift providing a competitive advantage for production companies. Mark articulated these concepts as Chairperson for the recently issued ISPE Biopharmaceutical Facilities Guide Volume 6, second edition.

Mark is Vice President of Facility Integration, the Lead Concept Process Architect and an Architectural Discipline Leader at CRB. He has over 25 years of international experience in the design of cGMP biopharmaceutical facilities with project capital costs ranging from small to $1Billion+ USD. Mark is responsible for conceptualizing and setting the direction for projects that will meet the client’s goals, criteria, regulatory requirements, budget, and schedule. The production project experience covers the full diversity of the biopharmaceutical industry from pandemic flu vaccine to artificial skin to cell culture production at 30,000 liter scale and to single-use systems in FutureFacilities ballrooms.

Mark is heavily involved with ISPE and a member of the Guidance Documents Executive Committee (GDEC), which directs and develops the ISPE Guide Series. He is a contributing author and Steering Committee member for six ISPE Guides.
