CRB Subject Matter Experts Driving Innovation at Autodesk University
Jul 14, 2014
CRB thought leaders are driving innovation in Virtual Design and Construction (VDC). Each year, VDC professionals from around the world gather for Autodesk University, the world’s largest computer-aided design conference.CRB is proud to announce that John Grady, Virtual Construction Director, and Roberto Morfin, Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator, have been selected to present at the 2014 Autodesk University.
Grady will present two lectures to Autodesk University attendees. “Providing the Best Value for your Budget, a Case Study with Zoetis” will offer a client case study discussing the challenge of conveying design intent in a manner that reduces constructability and rework complications. Grady’s second lecture, “Constructive Change: Assembling Autodesk Revit Models for Data Management Success” will discuss access and management of the multitude of model data generated on a project. Best practices will be presented for managing Revit model changes in coordination with various software packages.
Morfin will lead a hands-on lab titled “Ductwork Design Advanced Modeling Tips and Tricks,” offering attendees tips and tricks to explore different ways to model complex and intricate ductwork systems in tight spaces. Participants will learn how to create checklists for specific modeling requirements of duct systems, focusing on code restrictions, airflow basics, access and maintenance clearances.
Autodesk University will be held at Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada December 2-4, 2014. Advance registration for Autodesk University classes begins August 20. Open registration to follow on August 27. To register for a class with Grady or Morfin, visit http://au.autodesk.com.
