CRB proudly announces the Mars Chocolate North America manufacturing facility in Topeka, Kansas has earned LEED® Gold Certification. Beginning in 2010, CRB worked side-by-side with Mars Chocolate North America to ensure successful completion of preliminary and detailed architectural and engineering design for the $270MM, roughly 500,000 square foot facility.
Leon Worrell joins the CRB Raleigh office as the Quality Manager for the Southeast Region. As a former Construction Quality Director and Construction Manager for CRB Builders, Leon has extensive experience developing project-specific quality plans.
“Improving Packaging Line Efficiency with Simulation.” In this presentation, Phil Lyman & Dave Burgos will show an example process model which represents two packaging lines. The assumptions, input data and a typical model configuration process will be described. Example results will be presented from a recently completed simulation study.

The Celgene Laboratory Tenant Improvement Project in San Diego, California recently received ENR California Top Projects Award of Merit for Interior/Tenant Improvement. By optimizing the collaborative benefits of design-build delivery, the project team completed this fast-track lab and office build-out ahead of schedule and under budget.
‘Improving Efficiency of Downstream Operations in the Nutraceutical Industry’ by Niranjan Kulkarni, PhD, will be published in the proceedings of the Industrial and Systems Engineering Research Conference (ISERC). Dr. Kulkarni will also present his paper on June 2 during the conference at the Palais des Congrés de Montréal in Canada.
